Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Grampians National Park, Halls Gap, Victoria 3381 Australia

In one day we take you from Melbourne to experience the highlights of this breathtaking National Park.

You will feel as though you have stepped back in time as you marvel at the Ancient Landscape with rugged mountain ranges and spectacular sandstone ridges. With an experienced guide leading you through this incredible scenery, you will come away from tour with a new understanding of the countryside and history of the region.

Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Halls Gap General Store, Grampians road, Halls Gap, Victoria Australia

Before heading ‘up the mountain’ we relax in the picturesque town of Halls Gap, right in the heart of the Grampians National Park for time to grab lunch (at your own expense).

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Brambuk The National Park & Cultural Centre, 277 Grampians Rd, Halls Gap, Victoria 3381 Australia

Once we have arrived in the picturesque National Park, we head to Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can explore and see first hand the creation stories that make up the lore of this diverse landscape. Venture around the cultural centre to spot wallabies, emus and maybe even echidnas in the bush. Come away with a deeper understanding of the significance of Gariwerd for the Indigenous people.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Boroka Lookout, Mt Difficult Road, Halls Gap, Victoria 3381 Australia

A picture stop at the marvellous Boroka lookout perfectly depicts the incredible scenery. Depending on the weather and visibility we may alternatively head to Lake Bellfield to walk out along the damn and feel dwarfed in-between the two mountain ranges.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: MacKenzie Falls, Victoria Australia

Probably the most famous waterfall in Victoria, we hike down to the base and back to marvel at the sheer amount of water and to feel the fresh spray in the air. The hike is about 250 steps to the base and back and if you prefer an easier flat walk out over the top of the falls this is absolutely fine!

If ever Mackenzie Falls were closed to the public this stop would be substituted for a peaceful hike to Silverband Falls.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: The Balconies, Reeds Lookout Carpark, Victoria Australia

We then enjoy a hike along the shady path through the gumtrees and fascinating rock formations out to The Balconies, here you will see the famous ‘Jaws of Death’ with majestic views and scenery, featured in the Japanese Animation ‘Princess Mononoke’.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Reed Lookout, Halls Gap, Victoria Australia

Reeds Lookout affords sweeping views down to Lake Wartook and out over the Victoria Valley and the Mount Difficult Range.

Duration: 30 minutes

13 hour trip with only two hours spent doing anything remotely interesting. 4 x short (30 mins) stops “comfort breaks and to get food/drink”. Very difficult walk to the waterfall (and we are fit and healthy), so completely overrated part of the trip as by the time you get down you have to walk back! Yes the view of the Grampians is stunning (but by the time you’ve walked to the Balconies to see it) you’ve got about 10 mins before you get back. As for lunch included, a soggy baguette (we got our own food). Very disappointing and not good value for money. The description of the trip is totally misleading. We were a party of three adults, one being our adult daughter so none of the options for “who were you with?” apply.

We got to see wildlife (wallaby, kangaroo, emu, deer), wonderful landscapes , got some hiking done, and MacKenzie falls alone made the trip worthwhile. Good guide, right amount of stops, 12 hr excursion, but we knew it---wobderful day

Very enjoyable journey to the several breathtaking lookouts and hike to the bottom of McKenzie Falls. Richard, our tour guide, was quite knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We will enjoyed chatting with him throughout the day.

We had a great day out in the Grampians. It’s very scenic and the falls were lovely. Sylvain is a very good guide and wanted to make sure we all enjoyed the day. Would definitely recommend this tour

While the Grampians ideally require more than one day if you’re traveling from Melbourne, this is I think the best tour if you’re pressed for time. We got to see so much of the amazing scenery, as well as kangaroos and emus in the wild, but the thing that really made the tour was our bus driver, guide, first aid officer and DJ Tim. Tim’s commentary was hilarious, informative and super interesting - there was never a dull moment as he told us about Australian culture, Indigenous and European history, current affairs, what life is like in an Australian town, details about the various animals, and stories of his own life. Along the way he played fantastic music and other audio that was relevant to where we were and what we are doing. This is far better than going by yourself on such a trip - book this if you want a memorable one day Grampians experience.

My husband and I went on this day tour during our honeymoon. It was amazing. The highlight of our trip was definitely the MacKenzie Falls. It was very beautiful and romantic. The hike back up was no joke but I recommend going down to the bottom of the waterfall if you can.

Even though this is a one day trip there is so much you will get to see!! Highly recommend!!! Kurt, our tour guide, was so informative about local history and chilled Auz music made the whole trip so enjoyable!!!
